The San Diego Comic-Con takes place July 23-26. About 125,000 fans are expected to attend screenings, Q&A sessions, autograph opportunities, and find custom made collectibles. The genre shows are always the main event, with new shows V, The Vampire Series, and The Human Target showing off their pilot episodes to create some buzz. Favorites such as Fringe, Smallville, True Blood, and Lost, making their final appearance in front of 6,500 adoring fans, will also be on hand.
Eliza Dushku of Dollhouse has attended many times before, and sees the convention as an opportunity for fans to have Q&A sessions with the creators and performers of the shows. Some items that will be up for sale include the following: Bif Bang Pow's first Lost bobblehead of Ben. A diamond encrusted Spongebob pendant with proceeds going to charity. NBC studios offers a new version of the popular Battlestar Galactica Toaster. Mattel unveils their limited edition action figures of Zan and Jayna, the Wonder Twins from Super Friends. Popular panel discussions will include a Sci-Fi hot list panel, with Zachary Levi (Chuck), Johnny Galecki and Jim Parsons (The Big Bang Theory), Rebecca Romjin (Eastwick), and John Cho (Flash Forward) in attendance. DC Comics will also have a Q&A panel with voice actors Chris Meloni (Law and OrderSVU) and Juliet Landau (Angel) discussing their roles in the new animated dvd "Green Lantern: First Flight".
Kaley Cuoco, Johnny Galecki, and Jim Parsons will also be part of the panel discussing their show The Big Bang Theory. At last years convention, they only expected a few hundred people to want to attend. Instead they were overwhelmed by 2,000 fans with another thousand turned away. For the bored Moms in attendance, Warner Brothers will be showing the pilot for their new sitcom The Middle, starring Patricia Heaton (Everybody Loves Raymond).
Sounds like a pretty cool event.

Ladies of Comic-Con Reveal Their Favorite Festival Moments
It's official: Ladies love getting their geek on at Comic-Con.
Even though it's been perceived in the past as a "fanboys only" festival, some of Hollywood's hottest actresses are embracing it as their own as they meet their most passionate audience. Some even want to sneak around in costume!
New Moon star Kristen Stewart – this year's "Con Queen" – had several thousand devoted Twilighters flocking to San Diego to catch a sneak peak of her film's footage and see her and her costars.
"This is definitely a high," said Stewart. "It's a little overwhelming to have so many people here, but I guess that's a good thing. Just judging from past experiences – when I show up at these sort of places, I'm sort of blown away and in this case I was ready for it."
Ready or not, the fanaticism can be contagious. "Certainly there is a major geek within me, actually, just kind of right on the surface," laughed Scarlett Johansson, who wore exotic Christian Louboutin heels she called her "super-hero booties" while promoting Iron Man 2. "I have never experienced anything like this before, two weeks after filming has wrapped. It's exciting to be a part of something that kind of has this built-in fan base that's got this electricity around it."
Cameron Diaz meanwhile got to mix and mingle with the crowd while promoting her horror film The Box. "My favorite part so far has been the signing of all the posters for the fans that came through," Diaz told PEOPLE. "Everyone is so kind and so generous. It's nice to be around people who are really positive and excited about the filmmaking process."
Kristen Bell – a Comic-Con favorite thanks to her geek-chic roles in Heroes and the film Fanboys"] – agrees! "There are so many cool people here," she said. "I mean, Johnny Depp was here, the whole cast of Twilight, who are like The Beatles. You can't even think when they come in the room!"
Adds Bell, "I think the actual sort of pop culture Los Angeles is starting to catch on about how important Comic-Con is and how these are the opinionated audience members. "They'll say their opinions no matter what they are."
"When these fans find something they love they really stick with it through and through," Ghost Whisperer star Jennifer Love Hewitt told PEOPLE. "They remember more about the show than we do. They're like 'Do you remember that one episode where you brushed your teeth and it was with Colgate and the green toothbrush and your hair was up?' And you're like, 'Um, no, but thank you!' They're very passionate and I love that."
Costume Party
First timer Audrina Patridge says she loves the fans that don constumes. "I first heard about Comic-Con from watching Entourage a couple of years ago but I've never been," Patridge said of her trip to San Diego to tell fans about her latest acting gig in Sorority Row. "I mean, there are so many comic fans and people dressing up on the street!"
"I just love that there are so many people in costumes," agreed Zombieland's Emma Stone. "I haven't been on the floor yet. I've just seen them walking around. I haven't gotten to see the true diehards yet. I can't wait to see all the homemade costumes."
Some of the ladies are even considering joining the fans in costume and checking out the scene incognito. Patridge wants to go undercover as Star Wars' Princess Leia, while Bell would love to be Chewbacca – even though she may be a bit height-challenged to become a Wookiee. "Maybe I could just have a hole in the bellybutton that I could see out of," she laughed. "I could make it work."
"I would be Wonder Woman!" exclaimed Hewitt, while Stone mulled over an equally sexy alter ego: "Jessica Rabbit? Would that be crazy? I think that would be a little too crazy for the Comic-Con floor."
But maybe the costume isn't the key. A year ago self-proclaimed nerd Megan Fox wandered through the convention center without any disguise, simply wearing jeans and a Star Wars T-shirt and went "totally" unrecognized. Could she pull it off again? "If I was dressed like that and I kept my head down, sure, because I'm so short, people don't notice," Fox told PEOPLE.

I'll work hard at becoming skinny again and go as Sailor Mercury. I even have the hair cut for it now, minus the bangs, and blue color.

Crap. I guess they might be protected, or something. I can't get them to post. But anyways... Pictures number 26 and 32... Sailor Scouts!
Those guys dressed as the Spartans in 29 have some serious balls for wearing that.

I want to meet that Lady Deadpool. RAWR!
I kind of think the Sailor Mars chick is cute, too. Even though Paulie doesn't approve of her costume. I don't know jack about Sailor Moon, so I'll take Paulie's word for it.

Now it's time for the 2010 San Diego Comic-Con, and things are off to a shaky start. Apparently two idiots took the BIFF! BANG! POW! OOOOF! OWWW! a little too seriously. According to reports, two men got into a fight and one of them was arrested after a scuffle broke out when both men argued over sitting too close to each other. The one man was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, which turned out to be an ink pen. The scuffle broke out just before the previews for two films titled "Paul" and "Cowboys and Aliens". The disturbance delayed the previews for about 45 minutes and the names and ages of the two men have not been released. Comic-Con officials say incidents of this nature are extremely rare at the convention.
Geez. Hard to believe a year has gone by since the last one.

OMG Black Cat (pic 18) TOTALLY beats out Hayden OR Anna Paquin. She makes the actual Black Cat from the show/comic look ugly compared to her.
Picture 24 is a tribute to Jill and Paulie <3
PIcture 25 = epic win lol
Picture 40 YAY old school Batman. (is this Comic-Con or DC-Con?)
Picture 46 is just awesome.
Picture 48 = "Hey kid, give me all your convention money and merch or the bank teller gets it."

I'm lusting after Cobra Commander Chick in 15
I agree. #18... *Droooool*
I haven't seen Kick A$$. I can't believe someone dressed that little girl up. I'm assuming it's a little girl and not a little person.
I can't believe someone let #27 in. Or walk around San Diego. All in the name of a costume, I suppose.
In #37, the chick in blue with the white hair looks cute.
I kind of like the other Alice in Wonderland more.

some news and notes from Comic-Con. Some of the stars in attendance included Chi McBride (Human Target), Zachary Levi (Chuck), and Kevin Williamson, the producer of the Vampire Diaries. Highlights included rock group Barenaked Ladies performing the theme from The Big Bang Theory. Some of the loudest ovations were at panel discussions for the shows Glee, Big Bang Theory, Vampire Diaries, and a show that hasn't even aired yet. It's a mid-season replacement on NBC called The Cape. It will star David Lyons, Keith David, and Summer Glau. Lyons plays a disgraced cop who decides to put on a costume and fight crime, with Glau filling the role as his ass kicking sidekick.
For their final appearance at Comic-Con, Smallville had surprise guest John Schneider on hand. He will return for at least two episodes. Allison Mack's Chloe will only do a handful of episodes, but the Chloe character will make her DC Comics debut in issues of Action Comics this fall. It sounds like the Comic-Con was another huge success.
