A persons terminology and slang is usually a give away, plus the accent of course.
I would have to spend 2 weeks with you every minute of the day to decide. LOL

The best way I know how to tell what kind of english they use in a country is to see how they spell certain words.
For example:
Color- US
Colour- Canadian
Canadian English is influenced by British, American and French words. Hence the 'u' in our spelling of certain words. Honour is another example.
